Fairfax County has one of the highest concentrations of premium residential appliances in the Washington metro area. Sub-Zero columns, Wolf ranges, Miele dishwashers, Thermador Freedom cooktops, Viking built-ins — the kind of equipment homeowners invest in when they build or remodel seriously. Equipment like that deserves technicians trained specifically on it. Advanced Home Appliance Repair exists to provide exactly that level of service, exclusively to Fairfax County.
What We Believe
Good appliance repair is a craft. It requires technical depth, discipline around diagnostic order, honesty about what’s worth fixing, and basic respect for the homes we walk into. We’ve tried to build a company where every technician brings all four.
We don’t upsell. We don’t run a “free diagnostic” trap that forces you into overpriced repairs to avoid a service call fee. We don’t tell you a $90 fix is a $400 fix because we think you won’t know the difference. If the honest answer is “this appliance isn’t worth repairing, here’s what I’d do in your shoes,” that’s what you’ll hear.
How We Operate
Specialization over breadth
We only repair residential appliances. Not HVAC. Not water heaters. Not plumbing. Not commercial equipment. Staying in our lane is how we stay sharp — our senior technicians have seen thousands of the same refrigerators, washers, and ovens, which means pattern recognition is fast and accurate. A generalist who does “appliances and HVAC” will never develop that depth.
Factory-trained on premium brands
Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Miele, and Bosch each have their own service certifications, service tools, and diagnostic procedures. Our lead technicians hold those certifications — not generic “appliance repair” certificates, but the specific manufacturer credentials that let us access factory service manuals, purchase genuine OEM parts, and properly diagnose the firmware-driven systems these brands rely on.
Transparent pricing
Flat diagnostic fee (applied in full to the repair if you proceed). Written quote before we touch the appliance. Parts marked up at honest industry standards, not tripled. If the job takes longer than estimated, we don’t invoice more — fixed-price means fixed-price.
Respect for your home
Shoe covers, floor protection, appliance blankets when we pull equipment out of walls, and a clean work area when we leave. Fairfax County kitchens are often investments worth protecting, and we treat them accordingly.
Who We Serve
Fairfax County residents exclusively. Twenty-four cities and neighborhoods from McLean and Great Falls in the north, through Vienna, Oakton, Fairfax, Annandale, and Falls Church in the central corridor, down to Burke, Springfield, Lorton, and Mount Vernon in the south. Our two service routes are mapped to minimize windshield time, which is what lets us offer same-day repair slots most weekdays.
We don’t serve outside Fairfax County. If you’re in Loudoun, Prince William, or Arlington, we’ll refer you to a trusted colleague rather than stretching our service area and making you wait days for a technician.
What Sets Us Apart
- Same-day availability on most weekday calls placed before 11 AM.
- Weekend and evening service at no premium price. A fridge that quits Saturday morning shouldn’t wait until Monday.
- Parts-on-the-van approach — our technicians carry 150+ common parts so most single-visit repairs actually complete in one visit.
- 90-day parts and labor warranty on every completed repair. The same issue comes back, we come back.
- No-pressure diagnostics — if repair doesn’t make sense, we say so. No guilt trips, no upselling, no “well, while I’m here…” add-ons.
Our Business Hours
Monday through Saturday, 7:30 AM to 8 PM. Sunday 9 AM to 6 PM. Dispatch stays staffed during all service hours — you’ll reach a real person, not a voicemail tree.
